Q2 Investment Reminder

Q1 has gone, the period that people could not wait to get by. Now they had put a lot of efforts to get their businesses/works to the level where they are expecting some returns or appraise. Some have also looked at ways to double or multiply their current income or revenue.
From the expert point of view, it is wise to look at the way the Nigeria economy is moving or shifting, it is so unpredictable. Thus, relying on one source of income could be termed "RISKY", it does not matter how profitable your current business is or by how much your current salary has gone incredibly up.
It is advisable to have two(2) or multiple sources of income, at least have something that takes care of our monthly or day to day overheads. This is reason we believe that Q2 presents us with a second chance this year to think about what other investments we can add to increase our bottom lines.
What is INVESTMENT? According to Business Dictionary
1. Money committed, or property acquired for future income.
2. Two main classes of investment are (1) Fixed income investment such as bonds, fixed deposits, preference shares, and (2) Variable income investment such as business ownership (equities), or property ownership.
We can go on to list the number of investment opportunities for us to take advantage of currently in Nigeria but this write up is about reminding us look for something to invest in/start in order to add to our streams of revenues in 2nd quarters.
"I remember one of the clients once told me that Tunde, property investment is a long-term investment and cannot take care of my short terms needs."
As a Property Investment Expert, we would advise our investors with excess capital or those who have the capital and looking for where to invest in to CONSIDER investing into properties both for short and long term investments. "I remember one of the clients once told me that Tunde, property investment is a long-term investment and cannot take care of my short terms needs."
My response was it depends on the type of property investment, is the property ready to live in now or is it an off-plan and where the property is located. The rate at which SHORT-LETTING business is booming in Victoria Island, Oniru and Lekki is unbelievable. Therefore, property investment can be used for both short and long term opportunities.
We would advise our clients to consider investing/buying properties not only for wealth creation but assets generation and if they have bought or invested in couples already, keep investing to increase your wealth the world changes as long as you have the capacity to do so. It is also advisable to start think about RESELLING those investments you have made 2 – 10 years ago as you can use the profit margin or capital to invest in more other lucrative properties.
"Tunde, that was the best investment decision I have ever made, the property he bought in September 2016 for N45M, now worth 75M – 80M in Oniru, Victoria Island."
"A close client also bought an Off-Plan property for 48M in Mid 2015 and sold it for N70M almost 2 years later in 2017."
Think about investment today, think property investment.
